Who am I?

Dear reader/potential client

I am an award-winning researcher, clinician, Doctor of Art Therapy and leading expert in the application of art therapy with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders. I am passionate about empowering individuals with ASD in their therapy experiences, encouraging their active participation in identifying treatment concerns and goals in the therapy process I have more than ten years experience teaching in an art therapy graduate program and continue to have a passion for expanding access to art therapy education and advancing the field of art therapy by developing a proposal and curriculum for starting a master’s program in the state of Nebraska. I am actively working for access to high quality art therapy services by qualified professionals for all who want them through active participation in the creation of bills for licensure and insurance reimbursement for art therapists in Kansas and Nebraska.

Although my primary work has been in working with individuals with ASDs, I am passionate about access to Art Therapy for all. I have more than 15 years experience working with children and adults with diagnosed developmental disabilities, with or without ASDs. I have more than 10 years experience working with individuals with mood and anxiety diagnoses and trauma related issues. I have experience in working with individuals who are trans and in evaluating/writing letters following WPATH standards.

Warmly- Dr. Jessica Stallings, LMHP, LPC, ATR-BC
